What to prepare

The application, step by step

Nine sections, in the order they’ll appear on the form. Have this information ready before you start.

1

Privacy and data consent

Reviewing and accepting how your information will be used.

2

Personal and contact information

Your name, contact details, and state of residence.

3

Socio-demographic information

Including disability status, collected to plan accommodations, not to screen anyone out.

4

Solution submission

The problem, your solution, what’s novel about it, the market, competitors, and your personal connection to the problem.

5

Business status

New or existing; a CAC number if available. Not having one does not disqualify an applicant.

6

Evidence your solution works.

8

For bootcamp logistics, e.g. disability accommodation or travel support.

How funding works

Young Africa Innovates uses a gated funding model — support is released in stages tied to milestones, not as a lump sum. Evidence of product readiness and business formalisation will be collected as part of this process. Full FAQ copy is available on the FAQs page.
